The 2027 Six Nations, round by round: the title, the match line and the handicap
Rugby · Six Nations 2027
Fifteen matches over five rounds, from Friday 5 February to Saturday 13 March 2027. This page sets out the fixture list as the organiser publishes it, the table rules that settle the outright, and how match, handicap and try markets are graded, with a note on which coin to hold for a ticket that stays open for five weeks.

Six nations betting is a five-week position on a six-team table, and the table has its own exchange rate. A win is worth four match points, a fifth comes with four tries, a narrow defeat still pays one, and a clean sweep adds three on top. Read that rate card before the prices, because it decides who lifts the trophy on 13 March, and it is why the shortest outright price is not always the safest one.

Three rounds run on consecutive weekends, then the weekend of 27–28 February is empty, then the last two rounds follow. For six nations betting, that gap is the natural moment to reprice an outright: three results are in, the table has a shape, and nobody plays for a week.
The table rules that settle the outright
Each side plays the other five once, and home advantage swaps every season. In 2027 that leaves England, Scotland and Italy with three home matches each, while France, Ireland and Wales have two. France, the holders, travel to London, Rome and Dublin.
The match points, as the championship rules print them:
- Win: 4 points, or 5 with four tries or more.
- Draw: 2 points each, plus 1 for any side that scores four tries.
- Defeat: 0 points; 1 for four tries or for losing by seven or fewer; 2 for both.
- Grand Slam: a side that wins all five gets 3 more.
- Ties on points: split by points difference across all matches, then by tries scored, then shared.
The Grand Slam bonus exists so that a team that wins every match cannot finish behind a side that lost once but collected more try bonuses. For a bettor, the useful consequence is the opposite case: a team can lose once and still top the table if it keeps scoring four tries and keeps its defeat narrow. Points difference matters too, so a heavy win in round one can still be counted on the last Saturday.
Outright, Grand Slam and Triple Crown markets
The outright asks one question: who finishes first in the table. It is settled once, after Ireland v France on 13 March, so the stake is locked for the whole championship.
Around it sit narrower markets. A Grand Slam market asks whether any side wins all five; the price on “no Grand Slam” is usually short, because one slip anywhere kills it. The Triple Crown goes to one of the four Home Unions (England, Ireland, Scotland or Wales) if it beats the other three, which makes it a market on three specific fixtures rather than on the whole table. A wooden spoon market prices the side that finishes last.
Our view: the 2027 schedule puts both of the holders' hardest away trips, to London in round two and to Dublin on the final night, inside the same five weeks. A France outright is a bet that they win at least one of those, or lose narrowly enough to keep a bonus point. Any price you see should be read as an estimate of that, not as a verdict.
Match result, handicap and totals
Match betting is usually three-way: home, draw or away. Draws are rare in rugby, so the draw price is long, and some books also offer a two-way line where a draw returns the stake. Check which version you hold before you count your return.
In six nations betting the handicap is where most match money goes, because a favourite's price on the plain result is often too short to be worth a stake. The book gives the weaker side a head start and prices both sides close to even.
A worked example, using example prices only. Wales host England on 6 March. Suppose the line is England minus 6.5 at 1.91 and Wales plus 6.5 at 1.91.
- England win by 7 or more. The England handicap wins: a 100 USDT stake returns 191 USDT.
- England win by 6 or fewer, or Wales win or draw. The Wales handicap wins and pays the same 191 USDT.
- A whole-number line instead. At England minus 7, a seven-point win is a push and the 100 USDT comes back.
The seven-point mark is not chosen at random. Under the championship rules, losing by seven or fewer earns a bonus point, so a side chasing the game late will often kick a penalty to get inside that margin. Lines around 6.5 and 7.5 sit right on that behaviour.
Total points markets take the combined score over or under a line. Winning margin markets split the result into bands, for example 1–12 or 13 and over. Both reward a view on how open a match will be, and both lose quickly if the weather closes it down.

Anytime try scorer pays if the named player crosses the line at any point. First try scorer pays only on the opening try of the match. The tournament top try scorer market runs for all five weeks.
Three settlement points catch people out in six nations betting on players. A penalty try is credited to no player, so it does not win a first-scorer bet; read your book's rule on whether the next try then counts. A player who does not take part is normally voided, but a replacement who comes on is usually treated as having played. And on a top-try-scorer market, a tie on the count is usually settled by dead heat: the stake is split by the number of players tied, and only that share is paid at your price.
Five weeks, one coin: holding a ticket in crypto
An outright placed before round one stays open for 36 days. In that time a stake in a volatile coin can lose or gain more value than the rugby ever moves it. The return arrives in the same coin, and its dollar value on 13 March is a second bet you did not choose.
That is the main reason a stablecoin suits six nations betting on the outright. A ticket staked at betting sites that take USDT is worth the same in dollars when the trophy is lifted as when the stake went on. Network fees are the other line. Ten small round-by-round singles each pay their own deposit and withdrawal cost, so on a cheap network the arithmetic still works, while on an expensive one the fees can swallow a modest handicap win.
Timing matters between rounds as well. With a week from one Saturday to the next, a payout clause that settles within hours lets you restake a win on the following round; one that takes days leaves the coins in the queue. Our crypto rugby betting sites ranking puts exactly that clause first.
Pricing a weekend: where the margin hides
Before you stake, turn each price into a percentage by dividing 1 by the decimal odds and add the percentages up. Anything over 100 is the book's margin. On a handicap at 1.91 and 1.91, each side is about 52.4 %, so the book holds about 4.7 %. Compare that figure for the same match at two books; the books listed on our best odds crypto betting sites board are a sensible starting set.
Prices also move in-play. Rugby swings on a yellow card, which leaves a side a player short for ten minutes, and a live line reprices fast. If you plan to bet during matches, the live crypto betting sites ranking is the board to read, and the same margin test applies to a live line as to a pre-match one.
Before the first whistle
A short checklist for the five weeks:
- Note the empty weekend of 27–28 February; it is the best time to review an outright.
- Read the handicap line as half-point or whole-point before you stake.
- Hold long tickets in a stablecoin, short ones in whatever is cheapest to move.
- Keep stakes to an amount you can leave on the table for the whole championship.
The autumn after this championship brings the next World Cup, and the Rugby World Cup 2027 betting guide covers it with the same settlement detail. For the full board of books we rank, start with the top crypto betting sites ranked line by line, and for how each verdict is reached, the rating method sets out the scoring.
Six nations betting rewards the bettor who reads the rate card as closely as the team sheet. The rules are short, the schedule is fixed, and the prices will move every Saturday until 13 March.
